12/3/2013 class @CP2

Today's card I went way out of my comfort zone.
Glitter!
I've been seeing a lot of white on white cards
with a touch of sparkle.
In the mode of use what you have I had a brand new jar of
Art Glitter which if my memory serves me it was not cheap.
If you prefer not to work with this loose glitter
I would use my wink of stella pens,
(which is what I would do if I did this card again)
Hard to see but really very elegant.
We will be dry embossing & die cutting.
Along with your basic class kit
please include
zig 2 way glue pen (large tip)
tweezers
glue dots and/or foam tape
silver edger
Wink of Stella if you want
(you can also add color with these pens)
So that's about it, hope you are recovering
 from a massive eating weekend,
enjoy your day,
Susan *Ü*

I had to redo this card this morning,

This is a gift card/money holder made from an envelope.

I will be using this card for my Hanukkah/Christmas gifts to my nieces and nephews.
The usual Class kit including a gold edger will do it for today!

11/12/2013 class @CP2

Here we go, hot off the craft table!
This weeks card is simple and elegant.
I can see doing this technique with a variety of colors and stamps.
We are using a silhouette stamp and giving it a shadow.
Dry embossing for texture and a gold edge for a little glitz and we're done.
I considered adding a bow but I wanted a flat card for mailing.

Today's class kit please include
gold edger
tea dye ink
foam blending tool

11/5/2013 class @CP2

Sue will be teaching this wonderful flip it card.
Sizzix designer Stephanie Barnard has a line of flip it cards,
the original ones produced a square card,
and you know how I hate extra postage!
Her newest releases produce A2 sized cards.
She has 6 different designs and Sue will be using one of them in today's class.
Sue will be teaching two other classes using these dies,
the samples and dates are posted at China Phoenix 2.
Be sure to check them out!

So here is the card we will be making today.

All you need today is your basic class kit
Hope you can make it, this is going to be a great class!

10/29/2013 class @CP2

Finally got to sit down and make a sample for Tuesday.
Spent a wonderful day with my son yesterday, sometimes you just need it!
So without further ado, here's what we will be doing tomorrow.
The background is the same stamp, shifted or flipped,
in monochromatic colors.
The focal image is a set I received from my friend for my birthday,
a sizzix stamp & die for Graphic 45.
I edged one in gold, the other in brown.

Today you will need your basic class kit
including foam tape/pop dots
gold or brown edgers
Enjoy your day, see you tomorrow.

Catalog of the Month ~ October - stencils & sprays

Saturday October 26, 10:30 am
we will be exploring stencils and sprays along with a few other mediums.
You will learn and use many techniques, and leave with multiple examples
that you can turn into cards or keep as a reference.

Here are some of the samples I created

Please bring a non stick craft sheet.
you may want to wear gloves if you want to avoid inky fingers
and baby wipes or hand sanitizer are helpful.
All inks are water base and will eventually wash off.
I would advise against wearing your favorite clothes.
I promise it will be fun!

Don't forget to reserve your spot, 858 1080
enjoy the rest of your day,
Susan *Ü*

10/22/2013 class @CP2

Last Friday I taught a class to 30 scrapbookers attending
 the annual Scraps Galore retreat.
The project I prepared for them generated tons of wonderful scraps.
I couldn't throw them away, so I came up with a card that uses them
and my newest fascination with hexagons.
Put the two together and this will be Tuesday's card.

Simple, but I love it and I'm using scraps!
Woo Hoo!
You will need your basic class kit
including scissors and black edger.

Enjoy your day, Susan *Ü*

Brand new Penny Black holiday stickers
are the highlight of this month's Quick & Easy card class.
Call Scraps Galore 858 1080 to reserve your spot.

10/8/2013 class @CP2

I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather and the fabulous balloons!
Today's card is using a new Anna Griffin Embossing folder,
the queen of all things elegant and floral.
The technique is faux letterpress,
coloring the recessed portion of the embossed image.
I was also determined to use the small strip that came with the folder.
Using the lime ink it was kinda bright, so I softened it with some distress ink.
Along with your class kit please include
gold edger
tea dye ink and foam blending tool
(if you have these)
Enjoy the rest of your day.

It's Sunday must be time to post this weeks card!
Today I thought we would pay tribute to the State Fair,
which has been mostly rained out but hopefully a little sunshine will peek through.
I did a double embossed background and a water colored focal image.
I know a couple of Texas cowgirls that would enjoy this card also.
water color pencils or
your favorite coloring medium
water brush
craft sheet
black edger

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and see y'all Tuesday,

So here's a simple card using the stamp and die set from sizzix for Echo Park.
As always bring your basic class kit
I used some fine tip sharpies to color
gold edger
foam blending tool with a brown & blue pad
didn't add any ink, the pad had plenty

Today we will be celebrating September birthdays
