 In case you haven't heard Kathleen will be moving to Arizona 

and today is her last day in class.

Renee will bring some goodies to share.

Today's card is a wet one!

Well be using color burst powders and this lovely

Altenew Mega Succulent stamp.

Just incase you don't like succulents it also makes a lovely flower!

Please bring your basic class kit

including

nonstick craft mat

gloves for aversions to inky fingers

spray bottle w/water

paper towel

paint brush to color leave edges

liquid glue

tweezers

poker

bone folder

gold edge

color bursts if you have them

I used

yellow ochre & ultramarine

lemon yellow & cadmium red

That should do it!

No class November 28 NDB center closed for Thanksgiving.

Today's card is one I started because I couldn't find this set.

As you know I found it!

I decided to finish this card for another class.

We are using colored pencils on kraft cardstock.

I blended with a colorless blender.

Please bring your basic class kit

including

Colored pencils

sand eraser

pencil sharpener

colorless blender

brown edger

That should do it, can't wait to see everyone!

Birthday celebration 9/19 for Renee' and I.

Altenew has wonderful stencils one of them is 

called the Cube Builder Stencil.

They also so have a die called the Cube Builder Cover Die. 

So we're going to stretch our supplies and use the die as a stencil.

Up to you how much of the"stencil " you use 

and your choice of coloring method.

I will have all three sentiments for you to choose from.

Please bring your basic class kit

Black Sharpie Ultra Fine point

to trace stencil.

Color medium of your choice.

I used sharpies on one, the others

colored pencils w/colorless blender pencil.

(sharpener & eraser for pencils)

black edger

liquid glue

tweezers

Wow, goodbye August. 

It's downhill to the holidays, another year gone!

Hello all, just a reminder that I will be out of town Aug 27-31 

helping my mom with her move to an Independent Living Apartment.

Sue R will lead the class in a card I created on the 29th, so don't miss out!

September birthdays will be celebrated on 9/19 for myself and Renee'.

When I saw Jennifer McGuire do this technique with the new Pearl Alcohol Inks

 I knew I had to try it.

 I love it and there are so many possibilities. 

You will definitely be seeing this on future cards.

I want to thank everyone who hung in there with a smile 

while we had to relocate class yesterday.

For those of you who weren't there, a water main break occurred 

at the multigenerational center. 

Tom the center supervisor suggest we call Cherry Hill Library.

They were able to accommodate us and did so with pleasure.

I sent an email to the Mayor praising 

North Domingo Baca and the Cherry Hill Library staff.

Now onto the fun stuff!

We will be doing some distress oxide blending to showcase this Altenew stamp.

The fireworks are made with a dandelion stamp!

(It can really be any red, blue and purple

and can be regular distress inks)

Today we celebrate Diana's birthday!

We will be using this stamp from Altenew called Leaf Canopy.

The lesson is colored pencils on dark card stock.

This can be done on black but I thought

 it might be too hard to see in class.

We will be working with Gamsol as our blending agent.

if you have paper blending stumps
