Trying to get into the holiday season,

first up Halloween.

I bought this stamp way back from China Phoenix,

made by Stamp a Mania.

What you can't see is the ghosts body is on an 

action wobble, he moves!

We'll also be doing a little distress oxide stenciling.

I just love how the colors show up on colored paper.

non stick craft mat

Halloween stencils if you have them

distress oxide (one needed) & foam blender

carved pumpkin

wilted purple

black soot

peeled paint

scissors

black edger

I always like to have a patriotic birthday card for

 several friends from our military days.

I also used my new Distress Oxide inks for the background.

Loving those Distress Oxides!

Something old, something new ...

sticking to my resolution. 

New to me embossing powders from Stamp a Mania,

I think everyone was in awe at the stamp convention at the demo tables.

Not being a big fan of glitter this was right up my alley,

a little glitz and not much mess.

Used some well loved stamps and glitzed them up, woo hoo.

It's Sunday must be time to post this weeks card!

Today I thought we would pay tribute to the State Fair,

which has been mostly rained out but hopefully a little sunshine will peek through.

I did a double embossed background and a water colored focal image.

I know a couple of Texas cowgirls that would enjoy this card also.

The last Tuesday of the month, Balloon Fiesta is just around the corner. 

With that thought in mind I thought we would make a hot air balloon card, 

my family loves to receive these!

So this simple card kept evolving, but I am happy with it,

we will be making an easel card.

Life is crazy!

Sorry about the delay in posting this weeks (tomorrows) card ...

Wax paper resist background, was going for that dried cracked earth look.

I have had this set of Stamp A Mania southwest stamps sitting on my desk forever,

time to use them.

Since the background starts out white you can bring any color distress ink and foam applicator if you would like to change it up! I will have the wild honey and vintage photo for you to use in class.

I used water color pencils to color the image, again if you would prefer a different medium, feel free.

I love to recycle & reuse ... so here we go several ideas to repurpose into cards!

How many can you find ...

(hint ... I count 4!)

This week make sure you have foam tape & strong double sided adhesive in your class kit.

Hello all hope your staying warm ... we're freezing since we haven't switched our swamp coolers over to the furnaces ... we also sprung 3 leaks in the house with the crazy rain we had a few nights ago!

Yes my craft room was one of them, it could have been a lot worse so I am grateful.

Now the mess is cleaned up and I'm ready to start creating again *Ü*

Here is this weeks card ... I just love those high tops!

Remember if you don't want to mess with the jumprings ...

bring some foam tape and just pop everything up!
