2/11/2014 class @CP2

Last post for the day, figured I might as well do it all!
The feedback I was getting last week is that lunch is as important if not more important than the card.
Yes eating is a priority!
So here's today's card, we should be able to finish this one fairly quickly so we can get to lunch.
(Cheddars restaurant is this weeks lunch, just in case you were wondering)

Please bring your basic class kit
including a black edger and a white edger.
Have a wonderful week.

12/3/2013 class @CP2

Today's card I went way out of my comfort zone.
Glitter!
I've been seeing a lot of white on white cards
with a touch of sparkle.
In the mode of use what you have I had a brand new jar of
Art Glitter which if my memory serves me it was not cheap.
If you prefer not to work with this loose glitter
I would use my wink of stella pens,
(which is what I would do if I did this card again)
Hard to see but really very elegant.
We will be dry embossing & die cutting.
Along with your basic class kit
please include
zig 2 way glue pen (large tip)
tweezers
glue dots and/or foam tape
silver edger
Wink of Stella if you want
(you can also add color with these pens)
So that's about it, hope you are recovering
 from a massive eating weekend,
enjoy your day,

Here we go, hot off the craft table!
This weeks card is simple and elegant.
I can see doing this technique with a variety of colors and stamps.
We are using a silhouette stamp and giving it a shadow.
Dry embossing for texture and a gold edge for a little glitz and we're done.
I considered adding a bow but I wanted a flat card for mailing.

Today's class kit please include
gold edger
tea dye ink
foam blending tool

November Birthdays

8/20/2013 class @CP2

This week I decided to try a new technique
(at least for me)
You need a lined stamp with open space,
after digging through everything and not really finding what I was looking for
I settled on this stamp from Heartfelt Creations.
Bought it last year at the convention and it still had it's paper backing on!
Time to ink it up!
The technique is called floating reinker water coloring.
The thing that appealed to me is that it is out of your control,
yeah you pick the colors and drop them down
but after that every piece will look differently.

So here's the one that I did.
Then I started thinking, how about stains and sprays, oh my!
We'll have to save that for another time.

Please bring your basic class kit
be sure to include
scissors
non stick craft sheet
gold edger
spray bottle for water
paint brush
brushed corduroy distress stain
and foam blending tool
