We will be celebrating Sue R. and Barbara M. Birthdays on 3/22.

Also North Domingo Baca will be closed for cleaning 

the last week of this month so there will be no class on 3/29.

I own several sets of their square stamps.
So let's give them a whirl and see if you like them.

I applied several colors of distress oxides to the stamped image.
One of the cards I applied distress oxides on the background.
The other two were colored card stock.
The option will be yours.
I then came in with a variety markers and gel pens
 to highlight some elements of the design.
Glitter pens would also be an option.

foam blenders for each color

markers, gel pens, glitter pens etc

edgers

foam tape optional

2/23/2017 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

I had fun making these cards but I couldn't decide on a sentiment.

I will bring extra sentiments left over from other classes 

if you would like to use one.

I also played with Faber-Castell texture dots.

That is the dimension on the card.

We are using alcohol ink on foil.

Today's card is using an unmounted stamp 

I bought at the convention last year.

I believe it is from Stampland.

Metallics are HOT right now.

There are machines to apply metallic foil as well as other methods.

Today I went back to basics with gold embossing powder.

I used an Anna Griffin embossing folder that

Elizabeth special ordered for me quite some time ago.

The name of the folder is Empire Arch.

I still felt I needed some more glitz

and started digging through my supplies for the perfect medium.

WaLa!

Viva Inka Gold Metallic Rub.

(I had it in 4 colors, teehee)

I think they make a lovely set as a holiday gift.

Sorry I'm behind this week, 

still recovering from two huge classes last weekend.

But they both were a blast and I loved every minute.

On to this weeks card, 

I decided to use an Impression Obsession Stamp,

by the way they are this months featured catalog.

All IO purchases of on hand stock and special orders will receive a discount!

So sample #1 went into the trash.

Sample #2 is a little blah.

But loving the wilted violet color.

Elizabeth is ordering more, so if you want one let her know.

It's party day, come celebrate David, Jenna & Judy's birthday!

I was reading one of Jennifer McGuire blog post and 

she did a series of cards that she called Faux Textured Metal.

They sure do shimmer but not sure that they look like textured metal.

They are really pretty and the process sure is addictive!

Here's 5 that I whipped out in no time and I have a 6th in the progress.

ball point glue pen

If you have/want

distress inks that will blend

ink blending tool for those colors

perfect pearls or pearl ex

brush for perfect pearls

favorite embossing folder

Of course I will bring inks, blenders, perfect pearls, brushes

and an assortment of embossing folders

for all of you to share.

Today's card was really hard to scan with all the white.

We will be using an Anna Griffin die and embossing folder.

I have brought multiple colors for the background so you will have a choice.
