10/27/2016 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

Ah the end of the month, so hard to believe.
This year has just zipped by!

Today's card is a technique called off set stamping.
We did this card back in Nov 2013 with embossing powder.

Today's card is all ink!
I even made a template for perfect placement.
The off set stamping adds highlights and shading.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
gold edger

That's it!
See you Thursday.

I love these Penny Black sets, I only wish they included the mask

Note to self email Penny Black with this idea!

Does anybody know what I used to create the dots and squares on these samples.
Yes this is a test to see if you are reading the details, haha!

5/6/2014 class @CP2

I saw some easel cards floating around out there and some were round cards,
kinda cool.
So I started playing with some of my shaped dies
and this is what I came up with.

So when it came to adding color I grabbed my round ink blending tool and
the felt nibs we used way back when.
So then I thought how about distress markers,
so that's how I colored the second image.
Looking closely there are only slight differences.
So I will be bring all of the above and you will have a choice.

Please bring your basic class kit including
foam tape
black edger

Bring if you want/have
broken china distress ink pad
peeled paint distress ink pad
barn door distress ink pad
round foam blender
felt nibs
peeled paint marker
barn door maker

We will be celebrating Lottie's birthday on the 13th

Have a wonderful weekend, see you Tuesday.

4/22/2014 class @CP2

Come celebrate today, Nancy & Joan's Birthdays.

Today's card is using the new stamp and stencil combination from Penny Black,
did I mention I love this!
I only wish they included the mask with the stencil and then it would be pure perfection!

We will be keeping it simple today stamping then using the stencil to add color.
This is the most basic use for this product, but there are many other possibilities
that we will explore in the future.
Please bring your basic class kit
including
non stick craft sheet
black edger
wink of stella (orange used here)

Have a wonderful weekend,
Susan *Ü*

2/25/2014 class @CP2

All day I have been working on various cards for this class,
nothing was coming out the way that I imagined.
Finally cleared off my desk, put everything away,
a clean slate. Let's keep it simple.
So I dug through my never been used box
and saw this Penny Black stamp.
So this is what we will be creating this week.

Please bring your basic class kit including
black edger
I used ultra fine tip sharpies,
so if you have a favorite color bring it.
Time to start dinner ...
See you Tuesday,
Susan *Ü*

2/18/2014 class @CP2

Bette had been telling me about a die she bought when she went to a stamp show in Tennessee.
Well last week she brought it in and offered it to me to use for a class.
So a great big Thank You to Bette.
In March of 2012 we made this card,
I cut and scored each one. yikes!

The Stamp Doctor released this die.
One pass through your die cut machine
and it is cut and scored
and fits into an invitation size envelope,
Did you see me doing my happy dance?

Center Step Card Die
