1/30/2020 Thursday's @ NDB

Today we celebrate January birthdays
Conni, Katie & Bobbie.
Joan is bringing the treats.

Today's card is one of my first attempts in using the blending brushes.
We will be doing an emboss resist with
ombre colors.
Ombré /ˈɒmbreɪ/ (literally "shaded" in French) is the gradual blending of one color hue
to another, usually moving tints and shades from light to dark.

We will be doing this center but I'm showing you my other attempts.
My colors are picked raspberry, wilted violet & dusty concord.

My colors are twisted citron, peacock feathers & mermaid lagoon

My colors are spun sugar, picked raspberry & wilted violet.

Please bring your basic class kit

blending brush
non stick craft sheet
scrap paper to clean brush off
scissors
tweezers
liquid glue

I want to thank everyone who hung in there with a smile
while we had to relocate class yesterday.
For those of you who weren't there, a water main break occurred
at the multigenerational center.
Tom the center supervisor suggest we call Cherry Hill Library.
They were able to accommodate us and did so with pleasure.
I sent an email to the Mayor praising
North Domingo Baca and the Cherry Hill Library staff.

Now onto the fun stuff!

6/6/2019 Thursday's @ NDB

Birthday Celebration 6/13 for Evelyn & Sara.
Snacks from Joan.

Today's card features a die I bought at this years stamp convention.
Every year when I'm at Tessler's booth I say I wonder how their dies cut?
Well this year I bit the bullet and bought the Japan Warrior #3,
I am pleased to say it cuts beautifully with a detail plate shim (metal one)

Instead of using washi paper, I decided we would make our own.
I will have both sentiments available.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
scissors
black/gold edger
liquid glue
paper towel
Distress Oxide ink your color choice
foam blender tool

That should do it, have a great week!
Susan *Ü*
