liquid glue
tweezers
I used the following distress inks & foam blenders
broken china

We will combine a die cut and stamped for the focal image.

Q&E Cards @ NDB 3/17/2018

Welcome to Q&E 2.0
I decided to push the concept of Q&E by creating some cards that utilize
dies that create unique cuts or folds.
Most of them are from Sizzix and I can get you any info you may want.
This class will be limited to the first 10 people due to the amount of prep work.
Please let me know if you would like me to continue with this type of cards
or go back to the basic Q&E cards.

This part of the drop in series, the blue is cut with the frame and words in one piece.
there are a variety of words you can drop in.

This is the Butterfly Gate fold.
The black portion is cut at once then folded.

This is part of the 3D pop up series.
Again a variety of sentiments that pop up.

This is called a center step card.

One of many flip it dies, this features a triple circle.
I've extended the base so you have somewhere to write a message.

This framelit drop in cuts the frame and shadow.
then you cut the word which fits perfectly on the shadow.

The last few are basic Q&E cards.

That's all for now, please email me with any questions or  requests!
Have a great week.

5/18/2017 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

Today's card came about while looking
at the negative space left from a die cut.
I popped it up on some fun foam for added dimension.
You are also left with the letters to make another card,
gotta love a two for one card!
Here is my first attempt, too much white!

I will bring a selection of different card fronts
so the color choice is yours!

Please bring your basic class kit
including
white fun foam or foam tape
black edger

That should do it!
Thanks,
Susan *Ü*

Please bring your basic class kit
including
non stick craft mat
spray bottle w/ water

3/30/2017 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

Today's card is a combination of several card techniques I've recently seen.

applying ink with color dusters or a dry paint brush.
I love the soft application of color and how it fades to the right.
There are so many possibilities!

Please bring your basic class kit
including
5 colors of dye ink
red, yellow,green,blue, purple
I used distress inks.
color duster or paint brush for each color
paint brush should be 1/2" or bigger
Black edger
tweezer

That should do it!
Today we celebrate Sue & AdD birthdays.

Have a great week!

11/3/2016 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

Today we will be using a new Memory Box die that I got on a recent trip to Arizona.
Both cards are done with exactly the same material,
and I think there might be a third version in there!
I did add a bit of shading with chalk after I scanned them.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
ballpoint glue pen
tweezers
gold edger

That should do it!
No birthdays in the month of November.
Prissy is in December.

See you soon!

9/1/2016 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

Today's card will bring a bit of autumn and manliness together.
I die cut Tim's birch trees from a corrugated  box.
Due to the thickness it only cuts the top layer, cool huh!

Please bring your basic class kit
including
poker, picker, awl, pointy tweezers etc
you will need some way to grab & tare the top layers to reveal the corrugation underneath.
Vintage photo ink and blending tool
ball point glue pen
gold edger

That should do it! See you Thursday,
Susan *Ü*

5/19/2016 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

Next week we will be celebrating Lotte's birthday.

This week's card caught my attention as unique
but without tons of cutting & scoring.
It's called a floating strip Z fold.
We will be using distress inks & blenders to achieve the colors.
Tims cut and emboss butterflies and
Memory Box mixed media dies.
Sentiment Technique Tuesday.
