1/25/2018 Thursday's @ NDB

Today's card is a technique called Northern Lights
and is supposed mimic the Aurora Borealis.
Here are my attempts.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
black edger
Distress Oxides and foam blender
salty ocean
peacock feathers
picked raspberry
wilted violet
twisted citron
cracked pistachio
lucky clover
and
faded jeans
black soot

You just need about 3 colors that work together.
I played with many combinations.

I love taking a piece of white card stock and creating a colorful scene!

11/5/2015 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

Hello all and welcome to November!
Well I'm still on my ink blending kick.
I recently came across two birch tree stamps
that I bought at the convention from StampScapes.
Well StampScapes was not at the convention last year,
so these have been sitting around uninked for quite some time.

On the first sample I used
blueprint sketch
ripe persimmons
squeezed lemonade

On the second sample I used
faded jeans
wilted violet

On the third
blueprint sketch
wilted violet

I may also do another with reds and yellows!

Please bring your basic class kit
including
black or gold edger
your favorite sky colors distress inks
and matching blenders.
That should do it!
Enjoy your day and see you on Thursday.

BTW this month we will be celebrating Ginny Hill's birthday,
as soon as I know what date she will be in class is the day we will celebrate.
Thanks.

10/1/2015 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

This week's card is a masculine one that can be made
feminine with a simple change of colors.
I dug through my scenic stamps to find one that
worked behind the open feather.
Simple masking and an ink applicator to color the image.
Add a little dry embossing and you're done.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
gold edger
broken china and blender
bundled sage and blender
That should do it.
Enjoy your week and see you on Thursday!

3/3/2015 class @CP2

The stamp convention always makes me think of Stampscapes
and I have the urge to pull out my boxes of stamps from them, yes i did say boxes.
I was totally amazed and mesmerized watch Ken work his magic at the demo table.
I took his class here at CP2 several years ago.
Sadly they will not be at the show this year.
Look here to see who will be there,
some companies that I have never seen at the Albuquerque convention, yay!

So back to this weeks card,
a simple Stampscapes scene with a brayered background.
The fold is one that Renee gave me a sample of back in the fall of last year,
I'm calling it a modified trifold.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
stamping mat (mouse pad etc)
black edger

FYI, I used
Ranger Stained Glass Ink Pad
Stamps:
Lakeside cove lg
ducks formation
reeds
cattails
pebbles
solo canoeist

March Birthdays will be celebrated on the 24th
Sue & Jerri have birthdays on the same day!

That should do it, stay warm and get a little bit inky!
