2/16/2017 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

Today's card started out with a Memory Box die that I've had for a while.
Then I started looking for the perfect stamp.
I came across this Rubbernecker stamp from way back when, lol.
I always had issues lining up the stems with the blossoms.
But now I have a MISTI!
So I put aside the die, didn't work with this image.
Here's the first two cards I made yesterday.

Looked at them this morning and not happy.
Reworked them with a no wrinkle distress background.
Now I'm happy!
Love the sentiments.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
non stick craft mat
spray bottle w/water
paint brush/water brush
gold/black edgers
broken china distress ink pad

That should do it!
hope to see you soon,

3/18/2014 class @CP2

Today we'll be celebrating Sue and Jeri's birthdays,
come join the fun!
Today's card I thought would be a quickie with some new stamps
 I purchased at the convention.
Well now I have a lovely set of 5 cards to add to my collection.
After not being happy with the third or fourth card,
I rewatched a youtube video from Rubbernecker,
ah ha, that's what I was doing wrong,
anyway you'll hear all about it on Tuesday.
We'll be doing the acrylic block stamping in the background,
and these lovely watercolor tulips.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
non stick craft sheet
water brush
spray bottle with water
edger (I used black here)

That should do it, see you Tuesday.

5/7/2013 class @CP2

It's been one of those weeks where every idea I tried was unsuccessful!
Today's sample I saw on line and was why didn't I think of that!
The background is made with Tim's ink blending tool with the foam on it.
The background looked really cool and then I covered it up with the focal image.
In class we will vary the background just a bit so we can see it better.
I just didn't have the time to make another sample.

Class Kit
scissors
black edger
water brush
distress inks;
salty ocean
mowed lawn
picked raspberry
foam blending tool

We will be celebrating Lottie's birthday on Tuesday 5/14

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, see you Tuesday,

August Celebrations!

I can't believe that August is right around the corner! This weekend I completed 12 cards for friends and family birthdays! Here's a peek ...
My father in law is turning 90!

Have been waiting for the perfect occasion to use this stamp! Went out of my comfort zone with the shabby look ... this is an Acey Duecy Stamp.
