5/31/2018 Thursday's @ NDB

Last card for May, we're hitting the halfway mark for this year!

Today's card is called the impossible card.
When these caught my eye they were larger cards,
you all know I like my standard invitation size!

By George I did it!
This is a fun card any size you make it.
These are flattened and how they will look coming out of the envelope.

This is with the part that stands up.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
scissors and/or paper trimmer
pencil w/ eraser
favorite coloring medium
(I used water based markers)

I think that should do it!
Stay cool and see you Thursday!

Today's card features another Laurel Burch stamp
called Carlotta's Garden.
A friend recently showed me some Laurel Burch cards
made with color bursts rather than all that coloring.
This is a quick way to add multiple bright colors
with a bit of shimmer.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
black edger

That should do it, enjoy your week!

5/17/2018 Thursday's @ NDB

You all know how I love to troll the Internet for new ideas.
This is one of those cards that everyone is doing.
It's called a bridge fold card.
It's basically a double Z card with a strip
that spans across the front, the bridge.
Best of all for me is that it
folds to fit in an invitation envelope, yay!

Google it or search pinterest, there are so many variations
and creativity.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
bone folder pencil w/ eraser
scissor
black edger
favorite coloring medium
(I used water based markers)

That should do it, see you Thursday.

We will celebrate Joan's birthday on April 19.

Today's card features Ken Oliver.
I bought this Stamp and die last year when I was in San Antonio.

Instead of the random application that we are used to doing
we will apply the powders more specifically.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
round paint brush size 8/10
cup for water
non stick craft mat
paper towel
metallic edger

I think that's it, was great seeing everyone today!
See you Thursday.

4/5/2018 Thursday's @ NDB

Today's class will feature another wonderful scenic stamp
from Penny Black called On the Lake.

When I went to ink up this stamp I reached for blues, my go to colors.

Then I thought I should lean out of my comfort zone
and here's the next two images I colored.

And finally the one we will be doing today,
simplified using only 2 colors.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
Distress Oxide Inks
wild honey
candied apple
with foam blenders
paper towel
gold edger

That should do it!
Wishing everyone a Happy Passover and a Happy Easter.
See you Thursday *Ü*
