10/29/2013 class @CP2

Finally got to sit down and make a sample for Tuesday.
Spent a wonderful day with my son yesterday, sometimes you just need it!
So without further ado, here's what we will be doing tomorrow.
The background is the same stamp, shifted or flipped,
in monochromatic colors.
The focal image is a set I received from my friend for my birthday,
a sizzix stamp & die for Graphic 45.
I edged one in gold, the other in brown.

Today you will need your basic class kit
including foam tape/pop dots
gold or brown edgers
Enjoy your day, see you tomorrow.

Catalog of the Month ~ October - stencils & sprays

Saturday October 26, 10:30 am
we will be exploring stencils and sprays along with a few other mediums.
You will learn and use many techniques, and leave with multiple examples
that you can turn into cards or keep as a reference.

Here are some of the samples I created

Please bring a non stick craft sheet.
you may want to wear gloves if you want to avoid inky fingers
and baby wipes or hand sanitizer are helpful.
All inks are water base and will eventually wash off.
I would advise against wearing your favorite clothes.
I promise it will be fun!

Don't forget to reserve your spot, 858 1080
enjoy the rest of your day,

10/22/2013 class @CP2

Last Friday I taught a class to 30 scrapbookers attending
 the annual Scraps Galore retreat.
The project I prepared for them generated tons of wonderful scraps.
I couldn't throw them away, so I came up with a card that uses them
and my newest fascination with hexagons.
Put the two together and this will be Tuesday's card.

Simple, but I love it and I'm using scraps!
Woo Hoo!
You will need your basic class kit
including scissors and black edger.

Enjoy your day, Susan *Ü*

Here's my attempt to move into autumn colors,
which I really love but haven't seen them in my cardmaking this year.

Nancy B will be in our thoughts since she is still in rehab for her broken hip.
Nancy we will toast to you with something sweet.

Please include in your basic class kit
gold edger
and if you have
wild honey distress ink
rusty hinge distress ink
broken china distress ink
blending tool and foams

See you all Tuesday,
Susan *Ü*

I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather and the fabulous balloons!
Today's card is using a new Anna Griffin Embossing folder,
the queen of all things elegant and floral.
The technique is faux letterpress,
coloring the recessed portion of the embossed image.
I was also determined to use the small strip that came with the folder.
Using the lime ink it was kinda bright, so I softened it with some distress ink.
Along with your class kit please include
gold edger
tea dye ink and foam blending tool
(if you have these)
Enjoy the rest of your day.
