4/1/2014 class @CP2

The first of April, 2014 is zipping by!
Today's card is a sizzix pop n cut,
I do love interactive cards but they are a little extra work.
So I will try to do an interactive card a month.
The last time we used this die was 02/5/2013
remember this one?

Today's card has a different feel but same mechanics.
Makes me want to sing "girls just want to have fun ..."
Oh and we get to try out Tim's new spritzer!

Please bring your basic class kit
including
non stick craft sheet
water brush or paint brush
water color pencils or
your preferred coloring medium
black edger
bone folder

This month we will be celebrating
Nancy Y and Joan's birthdays,
we need to decide on a date.

3/25/2014 class @CP2

Something old, something new ...
sticking to my resolution.
New to me embossing powders from Stamp a Mania,
I think everyone was in awe at the stamp convention at the demo tables.
Not being a big fan of glitter this was right up my alley,
a little glitz and not much mess.
Used some well loved stamps and glitzed them up, woo hoo.
you will need your basic class kit
including
gold edger
foam tape
scissors

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

3/18/2014 class @CP2

Today we'll be celebrating Sue and Jeri's birthdays,
come join the fun!
Today's card I thought would be a quickie with some new stamps
 I purchased at the convention.
Well now I have a lovely set of 5 cards to add to my collection.
After not being happy with the third or fourth card,
I rewatched a youtube video from Rubbernecker,
ah ha, that's what I was doing wrong,
anyway you'll hear all about it on Tuesday.
We'll be doing the acrylic block stamping in the background,
and these lovely watercolor tulips.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
non stick craft sheet
water brush
spray bottle with water
edger (I used black here)

That should do it, see you Tuesday.

3/11/2014 class @CP2

Hope you're sitting down,
Tuesday's card is done!
While digging through my box of new stuff, I found this stamp.
Totally forgot that I bought it.
It sat on my desk for the past few days,
looking at it and pondering what I will do with it.
Then I remembered a new die that I bought,
pulled it out to see if they would work together.
I think it looks pretty good.

So bring your basic class kit
including
brown edger
water brush (or any brush)
non stick craft sheet or palette
vintage photo and applicator
I used distress markers
(any water based marker or ink pad would work)
fired brick
peeled paint
seedless preserves
wild honey
spiced marmalade

That's it, see you all Saturday!

3/4/2014 class @CP2

And off we go into March.
Hopefully the saying is correct, today it's like a lions roar out there.
Looking forward to sunny skies and warmer temps.
Anyway, here's this weeks card,
but before we get to that we have a couple March Birthdays coming up.
Sue R and Jeri O this month.
We will celebrate on the 18th.
Now the card,
I received this card from a friend and loved the little birdhouse.
It's made with our beloved hexagon punch,
how clever.

So I incorporated the idea with  faux watercolor,
and came up with this. Not bright enough.
So then I added a red birdhouse (now I was happy) and this is the card we will be making.
Bring your Basic Class Kit
including
scissors
ballpoint glue pen
non stick craft sheet
water bottle
black edger
if you have
broken china
salty ocean
gathered twigs
mowed lawn
fired brick
foam & blending tool

Have a great weekend,
see y'all on Tuesday.
