Catalog of the Month at Scraps Galore~ February 2015

The February Catalog of the Month is
Hero Arts
http://www.heroarts.com/
2/14/2015 at 10:30am

There were two companies that caught my heart and
hooked me on rubber stamping. This is one of them!

We will be creating three cards with Hero Arts products.
They have a new catalog with releases from the trade show,
I can't wait to order some, actually I have already emailed Elizabeth
with some stamps that are a must have.

Here are the cards we will be creating, heavy on technique,
lots to learn but unfortunate I cannot do a kit for this class.

Ranger distress sprays, embossing & die cutting.

Quickest water coloring you've ever tried.

Sponging, blending & masking.

If you are interested please call Scraps Galore to reserve your spot.

The catalog will be available on Monday Feb 2, or
go on line now and start browsing!

Thanks for looking!

2/3/2015 class @CP2

January is gone!
Here comes February which will be gone in a blink!

So there are a couple of things I am trying with this class,
one is to use what I have, a resolution carried over from 2014.
So far so good.
I am trying to do a monthly card that is unique in shape or folds.
I am also trying to do a masculine card a month.
In January I meet all of my goals for this class.

New month and here is a pop up with stamps that were bought last year.
I did use them in a class at Scraps Galore, time to share them here.
The paper is also from last year.

Anyone who knows me is gasping at the glitter, I hate glitter.
I found a trick that I can live with. It's not glitter I'm opposed to, its the mess.
So I found a no mess glitter application.
I am so delighted!

Enough chit chat!

Please bring your basic class kit
including
bone folder
glue pen
tweezers
black edger
preferred coloring medium,
I used water color pencils
water & brushes

That should do it, have a wonderful week.
I have to tell you this is one of the few times
I'm glad I am no longer living in NY!

1/27/2015 class @CP2

Birthday Celebration Today!
Katie, Barbara, Charlotte

Today's card is all die cutting, gasp, no stamping!
I must admit that lately I get a thrill from die cuts,
They are so wonderful!

Here's today's card, and I know I haven't mentioned it lately but,
I am using up what I have.
This paper has been in my stash for several years now.
The die was bought last year and it's the first time I'm using it.
The words were also bought last year, came in a set of three
first time using love.
I will bring all three sentiments so you have a choice.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
 ballpoint glue pen
tweezers
black edger

That should do it!
Have a wonderful week,

1/20/2015 class @CP2

From time to time someone will request a
technique or to use a specific stamp.
We've all been there when you look into your stash and say,
what did I buy that for?
In December one of your class mates brought in several bags
 of gold leaf or gildenglitz,
asked me to do a card using the product.

So this is the card we will be doing.
I wonder how many of you have some of this stuff in their stash?

Please bring your basic class kit
including
ballpoint glue pen
tweezers
edger (I used gold)

That should do it,
remember any requests
I will do my best to make it happen!

1/13/2015 class @CP2

Needless to say last weeks card was a challenge for some of you,
but you did it!
This week I thought you could use a break and went a bit simpler.
I found this cupcake paper and was really attracted to it.
Not my usual style but the was something about the colors and patterns
 that appealed to me.
So I pulled out my Tim Holtz Blueprint cupcake with matching dies.
Too big, too overpowering.
Then I remembered a small set of blueprint stamps that I bought
sometime last year and those poor babies have never seen ink!

So this is what I came up with.

Add a sentiment with a Penny Black die and where done!

Please bring your basic class kit
including
glue pen
tweezers
I used distress markers to color the image
spun sugar
weathered wood
mustard seed

That should do it,
