Saturday November 28 at 10;30 am we will be exploring and creating
 with StencilGirl Stencils.
http://www.stencilgirlproducts.com/

We will be using a variety of mediums to create multiple pieces.
These can be mounted on a card back or incorporated in an art journal.
You can also jot notes on the back of each and keep them as technique cards.

Here are the three basic techniques we will be learning.
Stendoodling

Color Bursts & Stencils
This is a two for one method!

Layer and color building with sprays and acrylic paints.

Then of course I kept going, here's some other items.

If you are interested in taking this class please call Scraps Galore today,

11/19/2015 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

Today's card is using an unmounted stamp
I bought at the convention last year.
I believe it is from Stampland.
Metallics are HOT right now.
There are machines to apply metallic foil as well as other methods.
Today I went back to basics with gold embossing powder.
I used an Anna Griffin embossing folder that
Elizabeth special ordered for me quite some time ago.
The name of the folder is Empire Arch.
I still felt I needed some more glitz
and started digging through my supplies for the perfect medium.
WaLa!
Viva Inka Gold Metallic Rub.
(I had it in 4 colors, teehee)
I think they make a lovely set as a holiday gift.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
stamping foam
scissor
gold edger
That should do it!

Enjoy your week & stay warm.

Card Sets with Jean & Susan November 2015

Here's another set of cards either
keep them for yourself or give them as a gift.
You will love them.
Jean has come up with another cutting template.
This one uses three 4"x 12" strips.
We both used Authentique papers and the same cutting guide,
yet they look so different!

The cost of this class is $20
you will receive all ten cards cut and ready to assemble
packaged in a clear mailing envelope
You will also receive the cutting guide and a picture of each card.
The holidays are coming!
Elizabeth has discounted all Authentique Paper in the store at 15% off.
On the day of this class if you have attended or purchased a kit,
you will receive 30% all in stock paper.
I love Authentique Paper, heavy weight and textured!

11/12/2015 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

I was reading a post from Jennifer McGuire using the
Hero Arts color layering stamps in a monochromatic color scheme
rather than 3 colors. She also added white.
Here's her blog post
http://heroarts.com/blog/a-bit-of-kindess-a-free-download/

So this is what I came up with
I used a white colored pencil to highlight some of the areas on this one.

Same card but I added white gel pen to this one

This is done with the other stamp in the set and the Hero Arts Ombre ink pad
so two people can be stamping at the same time!

That's it, no ink blending today, aren't you glad!

Please bring your basic class kit
including
stamping foam
scissors
white edger
white pencil or
gel pen
(Scraps Galore has these for sale)

Have a wonderful week and see you on Thursday!

11/5/2015 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

Hello all and welcome to November!
Well I'm still on my ink blending kick.
I recently came across two birch tree stamps
that I bought at the convention from StampScapes.
Well StampScapes was not at the convention last year,
so these have been sitting around uninked for quite some time.

On the first sample I used
blueprint sketch
ripe persimmons
squeezed lemonade

On the second sample I used
faded jeans
wilted violet

On the third
blueprint sketch
wilted violet

I may also do another with reds and yellows!

Please bring your basic class kit
including
black or gold edger
your favorite sky colors distress inks
and matching blenders.
That should do it!
Enjoy your day and see you on Thursday.

BTW this month we will be celebrating Ginny Hill's birthday,
as soon as I know what date she will be in class is the day we will celebrate.
Thanks.
