12/6/2018 Thursday's @ NDB

Just a reminder that 12/13 will be the last class of the year.
After class we will have our holiday celebration and Prissy's birthday
at Whole Hog on Montgomery.
If you can't make class please consider meeting us there for lunch.

Today's technique is a game changer in the world of Alcohol Inks.
Tim Holtz release an Alcoholic Lift Ink pad and reinker.

We're starting simple today but you will be seeing
this pad/reinker in other classes.

The idea is to lift ink from a non porous surface
and transfer it to another surface.
This is the card we will be doing but read to the end
and you will see my early attempts with this technique.

We're using Yupo as the non porous surface
and stamping onto card stock,
so two for one!

This was my first attempt, too dark and similar colors
Tried it several more times

Then decided it was my stamp choice,
the yupo piece was looking too much like a silhouette.
That's when I switched to the stamp we will use today.
I still want to play with the card stock images.
Being Alcohol ink I think they should withstand wet techniques.
Very cool stuff.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
Alcohol inks 2-3 of your favorites
Blending tool and felts
Blending solution
Non Stick craft mat
paper towel
baby wipes
gold paint pen

That should do it, see you Thursday!
