Please bring your basic class kit
including
water brush or paint brush

Scrap Cards

I needed to make a set of thank you cards so
I went to my scrap box
(I bag scraps from the same company together so it's easier to match)
and found a bag of 1" x 12" scraps.
This is what I did and it only took about an hour.

Just sharing, hope you had a great weekend.
See you Tomorrow.

Catalog of the Month ~ June 2014 - Penny Black

Catalog of the month for June is Penny Black.
June 14, 10:30 am
From the time I started stamping I fell in love with their flowers,
birds and butterflies. Then I discovered their stickers, oh my!
Take a peek at the catalog, buy what we have on the shelves,
Penny Black sales during the month of June will be 10% off.

Today we will be using their stencils, stamps and die cuts.
The paper just falls out of their dies, what's not to love.
It was really hard to limit myself, but I'm sure you will be seeing
Penny Black products in future classes.
These are the cards we will be making in today's class.

Please bring your basic class kit including
non stick craft sheet
liquid ball point glue pen
foam tape
tweezers

5/13/2014 class @CP2

Today we will celebrate Lottie's birthday!
Come join the fun.

A special thanks to two of our class members,
Gerri and Joan.
Gerri demoed this technique at the last convention for Stamp a Mania,
she suggested I do this on a Tuesday, thanks Gerri.
A big thanks to Joan for sharing her embossing powder with us to do this technique.
It works with the right product!

So I dug through my embossing powder draw,
yes I do have a draw dedicated to embossing powders,
(but don't tell anyone)
and found two jars that looked similar to the one Joan shared.
They are different, but I will bring them and if you like the effect you can use them.

Bring your basic class kit
including
silver edger
white eraser (to remove stray chalk)
chalks if you want/have

That should do it,
enjoy your week and
Happy Mother's Day for those who celebrate.

5/6/2014 class @CP2

I saw some easel cards floating around out there and some were round cards,
kinda cool.
So I started playing with some of my shaped dies
and this is what I came up with.

So when it came to adding color I grabbed my round ink blending tool and
the felt nibs we used way back when.
So then I thought how about distress markers,
so that's how I colored the second image.
Looking closely there are only slight differences.
So I will be bring all of the above and you will have a choice.

Please bring your basic class kit including
foam tape
black edger

Bring if you want/have
broken china distress ink pad
peeled paint distress ink pad
barn door distress ink pad
round foam blender
felt nibs
peeled paint marker
barn door maker

We will be celebrating Lottie's birthday on the 13th

Have a wonderful weekend, see you Tuesday.
