This new stamp and die just screamed summertime!

Stampendous has been making some wonderful stamp and die sets.

I paired it with an all time favorite background stamp from Hero Arts.

The flowers were water colored with distress reinkers,

so each one comes out slightly different,

just like in nature! They are bold and beautiful.

Please bring your basic class kit

including

non stick craft sheet

water bottle

water brush or paint brush

black edger

if you have distress reinkers I used

spiced marmalade

festive berries

mustard seed

peeled paint

My Tuesday class got a sneak peak,

 that I bought on an impulse.

I don't think I have anything like it in my stash.

Today you have choices, I will bring all three stamps.

Please bring your basic class kit

including an edger of your choice,

I used brown, black & gold.

Coloring medium if you have a preference.

I used watercolor pencils,

brush & water or water brush

That should do it!

Q&E cards @ Scraps Galore 8/16/2014

Catalog of the Month ~ August 2014 - Dare 2B Artzy

This month's catalog of the month is Dare 2B Artzy

On Saturday August 9, 10:30 am

we will be creating 3 cards using stamps and dies from the company.

We will make an adorable paper pieced pop up using an Elizabeth Craft Die,

flowers two ways (choice will be yours) same product but different looks

 and a wonderful Hot Air Balloon with partial embossing.

Oh my, August already, 

guess I should start thinking about holiday cards but I'm just not ready!

So I saw this adorable set from Lawn Fawn called Critters in the Dog Park

and new I just had to have it!

Too cute, I think I will get a lot of use out of this set and it also has matching dies!

My mom's beloved pooch has a birthday coming up,

 so I thought I would make a card to commemorate the occasion.

Don't they look like they are having so much fun?

I used some very old scrapbook paper so the patterns and colors will vary 

but we will cut our own Polaroid frames.

water brush or paint brush & water

black edger

whatever coloring medium you prefer,

I used watercolor pencils.

That should do it!

 I think I will send it to my Father in Law for his 93rd birthday.

Today we are getting back to basics,

stamping and stenciling.

I love these Penny Black sets, I only wish they included the mask

 from the cuts made to the stencil.

Note to self email Penny Black with this idea!

But have no fear I just hand cut mask's for today's card.

Does anybody know what I used to create the dots and squares on these samples.

Yes this is a test to see if you are reading the details, haha!

Today we will be celebrating Linda's birthday!

If you haven't noticed, lately I have been on a die cutting kick.

Well today's card has no stamping and it's all die cutting.

A couple of weeks ago Bette showed me a card her daughter sent her.

The front is cut off at the bottom.

Hard to see in the scan but you get the idea.

So this is what I came up with. The front is die cut on an angle,

I used the sparkly butterfly, and die cut sentiment.

 I will bring a sentiment stamp for the inside.

A warm summery card. 

Still playing with other ideas with these dies.

larger tip zig glue (glittering the butterfly)

 I just love these dies and embossing folders!

I inked up the die cut with evergreen bough & faded jeans.

A little Wink of Stella in Dark Green (clear would also work)
