As the temperatures cool down I'm ready for an Indian summer!

This card was made with a Dare 2B Artzy set called feathers.

I used one of the Hero Arts Ombe ink pads.

The color shift is subtle but I love the warmth it brings.

Gold is so popular right now I thought it would be the perfect finishing touch!

Card Sets with Jean & Susan October 2015

Come join us on October 10 starting at 10:30 am.

Jean & I have created 10 cards using Echo Park products,

stamps, dies and papers.

Jean has worked her magic and created a cutting guide specifically for this class.

You can get 5 cards from 1 sheet of 12 x12 paper.

We both used the same cutting guide and different papers, stamps and dies.

Here are the cards you will make

All pieces will be cut and stamped, ready for you to assemble.

You will leave with 10 cards,

the cutting guide and a picture of each card.

All Echo Park product in stock will be discounted 15% all month long.

We are featuring a build your own kit to anyone who takes the class 

or orders a kit and picks it up on the 10th.

Party day, come celebrate Nancy & Bette's birthdays!

Most of you know what a huge hit Tim Holtz's Bird Crazy stamps have been.

Well leave it to Tim, he recently released Crazy Things, 

yes accessories that fir the birds!

So I gave them a test run using the Halloween images.

Too cute, I love them!

ballpoint glue pen

tweezers

Here's the colors of ink and blenders I used

twisted citron

seedless preserves/dusty concord

ripe persimmons/spiced marmalade

gathered twigs/vintage photo

hickory smoke/pumice stone

I also used a purple and gray marker.

10/1/2015 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

This week's card is a masculine one that can be made 

feminine with a simple change of colors.

I dug through my scenic stamps to find one that 

worked behind the open feather.

Simple masking and an ink applicator to color the image.

Add a little dry embossing and you're done.

This card was a special request from one of the class members.

If you have a special request plese let me know!

I was actually very happy to do this card, because I love these little guys!

How could you not smile when looking at them.

So I had a stack of paper that we used on last weeks card sitting on my desk,

so I used it for this class. Way to go using up the old.

Then I pulled out another Hero Arts set call Stamp and cut.

They make these with a different primary word 

and then a bunch of little stamps to go with it.

I just love the happy dance combo, 

funny story I will share with you some time!

black fine point marker(sharpie)

State Fair has come and gone so that means 

Balloon Fiesta is right around the corner.

Today we will be using Dare 2B Artzy balloon stamps and dies.

We will be paper piecing them together with some really old scrapbook paper.

Great way to use scraps!

brown/mustard sharpies or markers

for the basket.

9/10/2015 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

After several new catalogs from Hero Arts

 that I couldn't find anything I had to have,

 this latest one I hit the jackpot!

They have released a series of color layering stamps 

that are wonderful.

OK I can hear y'all thinking that's nothing new.
There are many color layering florals,
but I just love the bird & butterfly sets Hero Arts came out with.
I also used one of the new ombre ink pads on the background.
So here's my card, all stamping!

Catalog of the Month at Scraps Galore~ September 2015

This months feature catalog is Avery Elle

Their clear stamps and dies are wonderful.

I always like it when a die cuts very close to the stamped image.

I also love the words included in the set and 

you can make so many different combinations from one set.

These are the cards we will be doing in class.

After a bit of discussion with Elizabeth

 this class will be held on the 4th Saturday of each month.

The discount that you receive for purchasing or ordering from the 

catalog of the month will now be from 

the day of the class through to the end of the next month.

So Avery Elle will be discounted from 9/26 through 10/31.

I just love these cards!
