We will be creating this card that celebrates the friendship 

with the women in our lives.

This is a Hero Arts set called Better Together.

Please bring your basic class kit

including

The background is ink blended with distress oxides

 and blending brushes

Bring your favorite colors and either a blending brush or foam blender.

The main image is colored with alcohol markers.

Bring your favorite coloring medium for the focal image

Black edger

 This weeks card we will be working with embossed mirror cardstock and alcohol inks.

After watching Jennifer McGuire apply alcohol inks with a puffer

I was inspired to give it a try.

Here's my version.

Please bring your basic class kit

including

gloves if you don't want inky fingers

non stick craft mat

alcohol for clean up

air puffer 

liquid glue

tweezers

poker

silver edger

If you want specific colors of alcohol ink bring them

alcohol blending solution

That should do it,

 The last Thursday in October, this year is a blur!

This weeks card we will be working with metallic 

liquid inks on black cardstock.

Very shimmery in real life!

non stick craft mat

small (round) paint brush #6 

or water brush

water bowls

spray bottle w/water

paper towel

gold edger

If you have metallic water color paints 

feel free to bring them.

 October birthday celebration today

Renee offered to bake so save your calories!

Today's card I was originally thinking Halloween but changed my mind.

You could make a Halloween card by your choice of colors.

The background paper is an outline that I colored to match the focal image.

This is a modified flip card.

broken china distress oxide

blending brush (medium)

Favorite coloring medium

I used colored pencils.

colorless blended, sharpener & eraser

The image is stamped with copic friendly ink but is regular cardstock.

 This weeks card I thought we'd do a scene through a die cut.

I wish I had a more open leaf but you work with what you have!

I used distress oxides and blending brushes

blue/purple & green(I think I would use a darker green)

blue print sketch, wilted violet & olive green

 Yikes it's October already, this year is zipping by!

Today's card we will be creating the background with a Jennifer McGuire technique 

called smooth alcohol inking. 

Note; alcohol inks stain so don't wear your favorite shirt 

and bring disposable gloves if you don't want inky fingers.

The focal image is a Hero Arts stamp & die called Protea flowers.

Please bring your basic class kit

including

double sided adhesive

non stick craft mat

rubbing alcohol for easy clean up

(disposable rubber gloves/optional)

Favorite coloring medium

I used alcohol markers like sharpies or copic

black edger

Watercolor Playday

 

Welcome to Watercolor Playday!  Today you will experiment with a variety of watercolor types after stamping a large image.  Below are some samples--you will have two to choose from, as well as several styles of backing sheets.  Because the stamps are oversized, the backing papers are, too—you could make cards out of these, but they would require large cardstock to fold and would cost more to send. This might be a good card for someone you see in person.  Or it just could be your work of art.  

Materials to bring:

    Class kit

     Double sided tape OR glue stick

      Gold and black edgers

 Small brush with water container OR water brush

Small scissors

Paper trimmer
