5/28/2013 class @CP2

The last class of May!
Just finished and scanned this weeks card.
Yesterday morning I started a card for class, came back to it in the afternoon and redid it!
Looked at it this morning and put every thing away and put the card on a pile of
stuff to use at another time, yikes!
While reading the morning paper I saw this ad,
I've noticed lately the colors yellow & grey on many things.
Yesterday I saw a quilt card on one of the blogs I follow.
hmm, possibilities.
This what I came up with (second try, haha).
I think this would be a great card for scraps, don't you think?
Class Kit including
black edger
ballpoint glue pen

Remind me to talk about June birthdays,
Evelyn & Caryl Ann this month.

Enjoy your holiday tomorrow, as we're eating hot dogs & hamburgers I will remind myself how grateful I am for all those people that have served our country over the years including my husband.
I will be extremely grateful that he is now retired!
See you Tuesday,

5/14/2013 class @CP2

Happy Mother's Day to all.
And Happy 21st Birthday to my youngest!

Big thank you to Nancy Bruce for sharing today's technique.
If you have an idea or would like to see a technique in this class,
please just let me know. I am open to all ideas!
We will be creating plaid backgrounds using eclipse tape and
distress ink (any dye based ink will work) and our blending tools and foam applicators.
Nancy's sample were done with the JudiKin's color dusters.
I also added the black lines with a sharpie and ruler.

This first sample was done with three colors, wild honey, crushed olive and broken china.

The second sample was done with only two colors,
the blending creates the appearance of a third color,
picked raspberries and crushed olive.
Today's class kit include
foam tape
black edger
extra fine tip sharpie, black
ruler
your favorite colors dye based inks
blending tool and foam applicators
(I will have a variety of colored inks and blending tools)

We will be celebrating Lottie's birthday today.

Enjoy the rest of your day, it's a beautiful one!

5/7/2013 class @CP2

It's been one of those weeks where every idea I tried was unsuccessful!
Today's sample I saw on line and was why didn't I think of that!
The background is made with Tim's ink blending tool with the foam on it.
The background looked really cool and then I covered it up with the focal image.
In class we will vary the background just a bit so we can see it better.
I just didn't have the time to make another sample.

Class Kit
scissors
black edger
water brush
distress inks;
salty ocean
mowed lawn
picked raspberry
foam blending tool

We will be celebrating Lottie's birthday on Tuesday 5/14

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, see you Tuesday,
Susan *Ü*
