double sided adhesive
ballpoint glue pen
tweezers
edger (black used here)
coloring medium
suggestions
colored pencils

Thanks!

4/5/2018 Thursday's @ NDB

Today's class will feature another wonderful scenic stamp
from Penny Black called On the Lake.

When I went to ink up this stamp I reached for blues, my go to colors.

Then I thought I should lean out of my comfort zone
and here's the next two images I colored.

And finally the one we will be doing today,
simplified using only 2 colors.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
Distress Oxide Inks
wild honey
candied apple
with foam blenders
paper towel
gold edger

That should do it!
Wishing everyone a Happy Passover and a Happy Easter.
See you Thursday *Ü*

3/22/2018 Thursday's @ NDB

Today we celebrate Sue R. & Barb M. birthday's

No class on 3/29 do to the center being closed for cleaning.

Today we will be using a Concord and 9th turn about stamp.
This company has produced some of the most unique
and innovative products in the crafting industry.
https://concordand9th.com/
The stamp looks like this, appearing very random.

Following the directions and a series of turns, it looks like this.
It magically all fits.
Whom ever figured this out must have a degree in engineering!

So here's my card, I kept it simple so you can experience the magic of this stamp.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
black edger
ballpoint glue pen
tweezers

That should do it, have a wonderful week!

3/15/2018 Thursday's @ NDB

Birthday celebration 3/22
Sue Rosenberg and Barbara M.

Joan suggested that we bring any wonderful finds from the stamp convention to show the class.

Today we will be playing with fluid iridescent watercolors by Dr. PH Martin.
I will show you the method I used which is wet on wet.
Then I saw a tutorial by Jennifer McGuire where she did wet on dry achieving similar results.
Just a personal preference, both results are beautiful.
I truly think it has to do with these beautiful inks.

This is the cards we will be creating with gold embossing powder.

I also tried white embossing powder and the ink stained part of the image.
Next time I'll emboss after the background ink is applied.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
non stick craft mat
small cup for water
spray bottle with water
#8 round paint brush
(this is fairly large compared with what we are used to using.)
baby wipes/paper towel
gold edger

That should do it, see you at the convention!

3/8/2018 Thursday's @ NDB

We will be celebrating Sue R. and Barbara M. Birthdays on 3/22.
Also North Domingo Baca will be closed for cleaning
the last week of this month so there will be no class on 3/29.

Stamplistic http://www.stamplistic.com/
Will be at our stamp show for the first time.
Be sure to check their website to see what they offer and what you must have.
I own several sets of their square stamps.
So let's give them a whirl and see if you like them.

I applied several colors of distress oxides to the stamped image.
One of the cards I applied distress oxides on the background.
The other two were colored card stock.
The option will be yours.
I then came in with a variety markers and gel pens
to highlight some elements of the design.
Glitter pens would also be an option.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
distress oxides or ink
foam blenders for each color
markers, gel pens, glitter pens etc
edgers
foam tape optional

That should do it,
looking forward to the stamp show!
