Q&E Cards @ NDB 5/18/2019

Quick & Easy cards class and kits will be prepared by May 18.

Class will be at 10am at NDB on the 18th.

Reservations are required no later than Saturday 5/11.

10 cards for $20. Pictures of each card are included.

All pieces cut and ready to assemble, envelope included.

May Birthday celebration for Diana 5/16.

We would also like to wish Lottie a Happy Birthday!

Today's card features one of the stamps from Tim's Illustrated Garden set.

I fell in love with the set when it was first released,

I'm finally using it!

We will be using one of Tim's mixed media dies, brick wall as a stencil

and adding the branch of flowers.

I choose a mother's day sentiment but I will also have the hello, your choice. 

Please bring your basic class kit

scissor

I used fired brick distress oxides, but any red will work.

foam blending tool

liquid glue

tweezers

poker

black edger

color medium of your choice

I used my Arteza real brush markers

The end of April, welcome May and springtime!

May 16 we will celebrate Diana's birthday.

It is also Lottie's birthday who has been unable to attend class, 

feel free to mail her a card.

Today we are doing a wet on wet watercolor technique with, 

you guessed it distress inks.

Distress oxides will work as well but the image 

will have that milky chalk like color

We're working on watercolor paper so any wet medium 

you would like to use will work.

Please bring your basic class kit 

including

non stick craft mat

brush/water brush

spray bottle w/water

gold edge

coloring medium of your choice

I used distress inks

peeled paint, broken china

shaded lilac or spiced marmalade

I just love today's card.

Vibrant alcohol inks, random foiling and a strong focal image.

The foiling is a bit tricky, you will still have a wonderful card 

even if you can't get the foil to stick.

This is one of my new stamps that I bought at our recent convention.

Please bring your basic class kit

scissors

gold edger

disposable gloves optional

If you have

Alcohol Inks (2 colors)

blending solution or 91% isopropyl alcohol

foil, deco, ranger etc.

I think that's it.

Saturday May 25 Acrylic Pouring at SWCC

I'm so excited there's a new art space in town.

I've reserved a 3 hour block that includes setup and cleanup.

Saturday May 25 from 10a - 1pm

The focus of this pour is the swipe technique.

We will do 2 gallery wrapped canvases.

The first a basic swipe technique to get the feel for it.

The second will be a silhouette swipe.

I will have a variety of templates for you to choose from.

As always written instructions will be emailed to the class

so you don't have to take notes or for future reference.
