Q&E cards @ Scraps Galore 6/20/2015

Here are the samples for the June Q&E class.

Liz will be traveling so if you are interested in

 attending or getting a kit you will have to sign up

 no later than Thursday June 11. 

I know this is early but Liz will need time to prep.

This weeks card is too cute. 

I bought this Big Mouth set from Art Impressions during the convention.

They had several different characters to choose from.

There is a bit of a learning curve to get the mechanism to function properly.

I believe I've got it down and will share my findings with you.

Please bring your basic class kit

including

foam tape or pop dots

pencil

glue pen

scissors

gold or silver edgers

I used & will bring my watercolor pencils

you can bring any preferred coloring medium

craft mat

paint brush

spray bottle w/ water

That should do it!

4/28/2015 class @CP2

Today's card I would say is gender neutral,

but it definitely needs to go to a coffee lover!

I broke out my brand new set of Tim's stamps,

Fresh Brewed Blueprints.

I decided to use two of the four images.

I also used some core-dinations paper I bought a few months ago

 and a new set of Spellbinder dies that I bought for a song & a dance!

I used two different sentiments, so you'll have a choice or

if you prefer bring your own!

Please bring your basic class kit

including

foam stamping mat

sanding block

non stick craft mat

water brush or paint brush

water spray bottle

brown edge

I used 

tea dye and fired brick distress stains

 to add a little color.

you can bring these pads or any color you'd prefer.

That should do it!

Today we will be creating a unique card.

We've all done Easel Cards, 

this is a Twisted Easel.

I was surprised how easy it was!

I chose a Penny Black Image for the front.

This is the card closed.

Now it's open. Cool huh!

your preferred coloring method

I used watercolor pencils

water brush/paint brush

spray water bottle

non stick craft mat

That should do it!

April Catalog of the Month at Scraps Galore is

Today's card was prompted by this retro camera paper that I bought.

I love the Polaroid camera from Echo Park and

paired it with the Polaroid picture die from Sizzix.

Don't you love it when items from different companies work together!

I used stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn Critters at the park.

Please bring your basic class kit including

glue pen

coloring medium of your choice

I used watercolor pencils

water brush or paint brush

spray water bottle

non stick craft sheet

black edger

I also used

mowed lawn

broken china

ink blending tool for the background

That should do it,

I purchased this fun set from Art Impressions at the convention.

They are what they call Front and Backs.

I used him in a little different way.

I also pulled out this grid die from Sizzix that we used last year.

Perfect don't you think!

paint brush or water brush

non stick craft mat

glue pen

brown edger

I used tea dye and spun sugar distress stains

If you prefer another coloring method,

feel free to bring that.

Q&E cards @ Scraps Galore 4/18/2015

Quick & Easy cards at

Liz chose this peach and gold line from My Mind's Eye,

which suited her to a tee!

I went way out of my comfort zone with these 

bright spring time colors from Echo Park!

Today's class is something I have been wanting to try for quite some time.

It's called no line water coloring.

There are an abundance of tutorials and examples out there.

So for class today you will need a pair of well rested eyes and your glasses.

Along with a bit of patients.

I used my new Hero Arts stamps called

Build a Cactus.

Some paper from my stash for the background.

I did make two samples, finding which parts I like best.

May need to do a third one!

Please bring your basic class kit including

water brush or paintbrush

water bottle

non stick craft mat

gold edger

If you own distress ink pad 

or distress markers

in the following colors(or similar colors)

peeled paint

forest moss

aged mahogany

vintage photo

rusty hinge

tumbled glass

Be ready to party,

 today we'll be celebrating Sue and Jeri's birthdays!

Bring your cards and come join the fun!

Today's cards is simple yet elegant.

I chose two of my favorite products (for the moment)

and created this card.

I used the papers in one package

 and it took 30 minutes or less for this set of 4 cards.

So today you will have a choice of the four basic colors

and we'll use the gray for the label.

The background die is from Memory Box and the label set is from Sizzix.

We will also use tips & tricks for die cutting!

Catalog of the Month at Scraps Galore~ March 2015

March Catalog of the Month 

at Scraps Galore is Heartfelt Creations.

and will be co-taught by myself and Elizabeth.

We will be doing 5 cards, 

Elizabeth will do the three in the brand new Heartfelt Creations kit.

She took the class at CHA and will share what she learned.

I will be doing two cards with their stamps & dies.

There is a bit of a learning curve and I will show you what I learned 

for perfect placement of their dies onto a stamped image.

I will put together a list of supplies you need to bring

 and email those enrolled in this class.

Hello all, today I did a masculine card using 

Tim Holtz products in a very clean and simple style.

The angled panel is very trendy right now as well as the banners.

I just had to add a pop of color!

Pencil

trimmer or scissors

stamping mat (fun foam or mouse pad)

black edger
