Unique Cards - Saturday February 13, 2016

This is the first in a new series of classes I am developing.

This month we will be making 3 unique cards.

(other months it may be techniques or gifts)

We will be creating a box card, lever card and a flap fold card.

I will include measurements, diagrams and instructions 

so you can duplicate these cards.

Kits will be available if you feel you can put these together.

We will also be using Ken Oliver's Color Bursts with Distress spray stains.

1/21/2016 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

In an attempt to use up the many scraps I have 

from prepping for classes I made a bunch of these

 for my kids to write thank yous.

Well I still have tons of scraps.

I used thank you, but if you prefer another sentiment please bring it!

You can also bring extra paper either a 

card back 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 or 

card front 4 1/4 x 5 1/2

and knock out a few extras!

1/14/2016 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

I always need thank you notes at the beginning of the year!
This one uses the Memory Box piano border
and the notes from a sizzix set.
Sentiment from Hero Arts.
I will show you a neat trick I learned from Jennifer McGuire
on how to keep track of all the pieces in an intricate die cut.
We will be using this trick often, can't wait to share it with you.

tweezers
black edger if desired.

Card Sets with Jean & Susan January 2016

Happy New Year!

Jean and I will be teaching another Card Set Class

on January 9 at 10:30 am.

We will be using the birthday papers and embellishments 

on the wall next to the office.

That entire wall will be discounted by 15% for the month of January.

Those who attend the class or order a kit will receive a 30% discount

for one day only on January 9th.

As our gift to you for the New Year we will be making 12 cards for the price of 10!

You will receive a copy of the cutting guide and a picture of each card we have created.

I always love starting the new year off with a new calendar!

So we will be making this little easel fold calendar for our first class.

When it's closed it's the perfect size for mailing!

Please bring your basic class kit

including

foam tape or dots

red wink of stella 

or red marker

black edger

That should do it!

12/17/2015 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

The last class of 2015!

Is it me or did this year really zip by?

We will have our annual luncheon today after class (12 noon) at Nick & Jimmy's.

We will celebrate Prissy's birthday, so bring her a card.

We will also do the bring a holiday card get a card.

So if you bring a card we will put them all together 

and each person can pull a card.

I always sign my card so the recipient knows who it's from.

Last year I believe it was Joan who put a signed sticky note 

so the recipient can reuse the card.

Choice is yours.

Today's card is really simple but I think it packs a punch!

We will be working with Perfect Pearls and Pearl EX.

I just love those peacock feathers!

including

Gold edger

If you have either of the mica products you can bring them, 

I used blues, greens & gold.

along with a paint brush to apply the mica powder.

12/10/2015 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

Today's card looks quite simple but there are several steps.

I created a blended background and bought in some 

gold embossing which is so trendy right now.

Please bring your basic class kit

including

scissors

ballpoint glue pen

gold edger

I used the following inks and blender

forest moss

peeled paint

salty ocean

Thursday 12/17 will be our last class of the year.

Following class we will have our annual holiday luncheon at Nick & Jimmy's.

Lunch is on your own and we will be ordering off the regular menu.

We will celebrate Prissy's birthday.

We will have the card exchange, bring a card and you get a card.

Sign your card so the recipient knows who created it.

I think that's about it, I do need a head count no later than 12/14 (Monday morning)

so I can call about seating.
