Today we will be using a new Memory Box die that I got on a recent trip to Arizona.

Both cards are done with exactly the same material,

 and I think there might be a third version in there!

I did add a bit of shading with chalk after I scanned them.

Ah the end of the month, so hard to believe.

This year has just zipped by!

Today's card is a technique called off set stamping.

We did this card back in Nov 2013 with embossing powder.

Today's card is all ink!

I even made a template for perfect placement.

The off set stamping adds highlights and shading.

Fall is in the air.

So I pulled out a stamp set by Tim Holtz and his cut and emboss leaf set.

Here's what I came up with.

I used distress paints

aged mahogany

rusty hinge

antique bronze

ink pads & blenders

tea dye

gathered twigs

aged mahogany

I fell in love with this Art Impression set called Howl-ween!

Aren't they just the cutest?

I used watercolor pencils,

brush. craft sheet & water

Bette's tool if you have one

black soot, pumice stone or hickory smoke 

for the dry embossed background

Wow, it's October already and the Balloon Festival is upon us!

Today's card features a hot air balloon but the technique is the background.

I wanted a warm embrace of our beautiful skies 

and the rays of sunshine that always seem present.

I love this place!

or foam tape/dots

your preferred medium for coloring

I used colored pencils & blender pencil

distress inks & foam blenders

squeezed lemonade

wild honey

spiced marmalade

abandon coral

picket fence distress paint w/dauber

Many of the stamp companies are offering two step stamping.

Basically you have a solid shape that the outline shape goes over.

Today's card is only an outline stamp and we will 

be doing a Faux Two Step image.

This idea has so many possibilities!

peeled paint (any green)

two colors that blend well

I used

picked raspberry & wilted violet

abandon coral & wild honey

9/22/2016 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

Today's card is a Double Z Fold card,

really easy but I love the movement.

Very similar to the floating Z card we did a while back.

I used a set of dog stamps/dies from Sizzix designer Stephanie Barnard.

I also stepped out of my comfort zone and used colored pencils.

One card I blended with Gamsol the other I used a colorless pencil blender.

 

Today while poking around the Internet I came across this tutorial.

I will have to try her way of coloring & Gamsol.
