Handmade Gifts 6/27/2015

This month Jean & I are teaming up to
bring you 10 Christmas cards.
Jean created a two sheet wonder
that we both used to create the 10 cards.
One piece of printed paper and a coordinating one and you get 10 cards.
Great to use with any stamps you own.

We will also be putting together kits for purchase
including a Tim Holtz holiday stamp set and coordinating papers,
so you're ready to jump right in after class.
Elizabeth is offering a 15% discount on these kits.

If you attend our class you will receive
 first choice of the kits
plus receive an additional 15% off.
So 30% off on 6/27 only with
attending the handmade gifts class.

You will receive the diagram we followed
plus a photo of each card we're teaching.

The cost of this class is $20.
Call Scraps Galore to reserve your spot, 858 1080

Time to start on your holiday cards!

6/4/2015 Thursday's at Scraps Galore

By now most of you have probably heard that China Phoenix 2 is closing there doors.
We all would like to thank Nancy and wish her the best in whatever she does.
Thanks for letting us meet at your store for the past 10 years.
This is the first card I taught at CP2 on Montgomery!
November 2004

So I met with Elizabeth at Scraps Galore
and we will have our very first class there this Thursday 6/4 starting at 10:30.
You do need to pay Beth at the register and sign in for the class
since I will continue the drop in class policy, instead of pre registering for the class.
The cost is $4.67 plus tax will be $5 for one card.
The store does not accept credit or debit cards for purchases under $5
so you will need to pay in cash or make an additional purchase.
Otherwise the class will remain the same.
we will have the two back tables reserved for us ever Thursday.
If we need to start a third we will.

I hope you will join me on this transition and enjoy the journey.
When I told my mom about Nancy closing,
she said when one door closes another one opens.
Here's to new beginnings!

Today's card.

I will continue with a unique shaped card and a masculine card each month.
Any requests please let me know.

This card is die cut with the sizzix step up die,
and label & words from various sizzix sets.
The flowers are from Dare 2B Artzy.
One card I colored with sharpies, the other Tim's distress markers.
I kept it flat because everything gets mailed,
bring pop dots or foam tape if you wish to add dimension.

For today's class you need to bring your basic class kit
including
scissors
ball point glue pen
tweezers
markers
 (or use my sharpies)

All most done, I know this has been a long post.
It is Evelyn & Sara's birthday
we will discuss a date to celebrate on Thursday,
but you can get your cards made and be ready.
I also need a volunteer to bring the treats.

Enjoy your weekend, stay cool and
see you Thursday!

5/26/2015 class @CP2

I'm back and doing any easy card
not knowing what shape I'll be in, lol!
I fell in love with this Memory Box die
that I bought two different versions of it.
Here's just one cus we're keeping it simple.
This is what I envisioned in my head.
Loving the kraft, black & red.

Then I looked on my desk and there were a bunch of left over pieces.
So I grabbed a piece of red card stock and
began to build with the black & kraft leftovers.
This is what I got.
Much to my surprise I really like this!

So bring a zip lock baggie with you to save the bits and pieces
or bring a piece of  card stock (any color 4 1/2 x 2 3/4) with you and build it right here.

Please bring your basic class kit
including
black edger
 ball point glue pen
tweezers
zip lock baggie

Enjoy your week, see you Tuesday!

This weeks card is too cute.

foam tape or pop dots
pencil
glue pen
scissors
gold or silver edgers

I want to send a big apology to
Geri Neumann who will be celebrating a birthday this month.

4/28/2015 class @CP2

Today's card I would say is gender neutral,
but it definitely needs to go to a coffee lover!
I broke out my brand new set of Tim's stamps,
Fresh Brewed Blueprints.
I decided to use two of the four images.
I also used some core-dinations paper I bought a few months ago
and a new set of Spellbinder dies that I bought for a song & a dance!
I used two different sentiments, so you'll have a choice or
if you prefer bring your own!

Please bring your basic class kit
including
foam stamping mat
sanding block
non stick craft mat
water brush or paint brush
water spray bottle
brown edge
I used
tea dye and fired brick distress stains
 to add a little color.
you can bring these pads or any color you'd prefer.

That should do it!
Remember today we will be celebrating
Nancy & Joan birthdays.
Renee' will bring the goodies.

Enjoy

Now it's open. Cool huh!

Please bring your basic class kit
including
black edger
foam tape
your preferred coloring method
I used watercolor pencils

4/14/2015 class @CP2

Today's card was prompted by this retro camera paper that I bought.

Don't you love it when items from different companies work together!
I used stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn Critters at the park.

glue pen
coloring medium of your choice
I used watercolor pencils
water brush or paint brush
spray water bottle
non stick craft sheet
black edger

That should do it,
looking forward to seeing everyone at Dina's class this weekend.
