No class November 28 NDB center closed for Thanksgiving.

Today's card is one I started because I couldn't find this set.

As you know I found it!

I decided to finish this card for another class.

We are using colored pencils on kraft cardstock.

I blended with a colorless blender.

Please bring your basic class kit

North Domingo Baca Center is closed on 10/17.

Next class 10/24.

Today's card is a stamp from Concord & 9th called 

Grateful for Everything.

We'll be doing an old technique call outside of the box (rectangle).

This is where part of the image extends beyond the edge.

I will help those of you who are paper trimmer challenged!

So no worries!!!

We will be coloring the image with distressed stains.

attended the kick off of Balloon Fiesta!

Onto Halloween, today's card is another favorite set of mine

 from Art Impressions Howl-oween.

We will be inking the web embossed background 

the same way we did the clouds on the balloon card.

Q&E Cards @ NDB 10/12/2019

Well hello all, it's finally cooling off a bit and

 the skies are filled with Hot Air Balloons!

If you are on my email list you may have seen that North Domingo Baca

 is having a few days when classrooms are not available. 

One of them is Saturday October 19 the day we planned for Q&E cards.

The other is Thursday 10/17, man twice in one week!

So I will be having class 10 days from now on Saturday October 12, 10am

 in the common area.

If you are interested in taking the class or reserving a kit please email asap.

I will begin the prepping process this Sunday & Monday.

It is my hope to have everything done by Thursday 10/10.

Whew!!!

Well it's that time of year again Balloon Fiesta.

We have 4 October birthdays and will celebrate on 10/31.

Nancy B, Wendy, Lisa & Bette.

Of course I had to do a balloon card, living here for the past 18 years

 and they still take my breath away!

My original impulse was to use that beautiful coral color skies we see.

The more I looked at the card I decided to go with a soft blue sky.

I'm much happier.

I used a technique called recessed panel.

What a great day, thank you all for making it special!

Well we're at the end of September already.

I squeezed in one more summer time card, 

time to switch gears and think fall and winter.

I finally used Tim Holtz distress resist spray and

a stamp/die that I bought at our last convention.

Today we will be creating this card with these 

Impression Obsession Desert Scene dies.

We will work on white card stock and 

build our colors with distress oxides.

Saturday September 28 Acrylic Pouring at SWCC

Halloween is upon us, let's make some home decor.

We will pour and use the swipe technique to 

create this wonderful silhouette of a witch on canvas.

And we will pour a hanging pumpkin on particle board.

I did a dirty cup, one was poured the other was flipped.

Saturday September 28 2pm-5pm
