Good morning all,

today we will be using a newly acquired stamp from Art Impressions.

I just thought this dog flying by was too cute.

Kept it fairly simple and masculine,

We will be doing a bit of masking.

I needed a card for my son's roommate.

Please bring your basic class kit

including

black edger

watercolor pencils or preferred medium

paint brush or water brush

I used broken china distress ink and a blending tool

for the sky/background.

Just a reminder we will be celebrating

 Bette's birthday on October 7th.

It is Nancy Bruce's birthday but she hasn't been in class

 due to recent surgery, her mailing address

 is on the class list if you would like to send her a card.

Today I spoke about this card we will be doing.

I found it online and the artist teaches children.

They did it on canvas with acrylic paints.

We are using paper and distress inks.

Each card uses two colors that are blended in the middle to create a third color.

Please bring your basic class kit

including

paper trimmer

black ink pad, dye based works best

(I used black soot distress ink pad)

make sure it's well inked

expired credit card or similar from junk mail

black edger

small paint brush for touch ups

I used the following distress ink pads with a foam blender

mustard seed & peacock feathers

dusty concord & broken china.

Bring you favorite colors if you wish but make sure you bring the blenders too.

I have been on a feather kick lately.

Tons of samples on the Internet, tons of sample on pintrest.

I have stamps.

I have dies.

I have stamps with matching dies.

Time to start using them and stop collecting.

This first card (more to come in the future)

is a Hero Arts stamp & die.

There are 4 feathers in the set but only two dies.

This cards uses the two matching stamps & dies.

It is much more vibrant in real life for some reason the scan muted the colors.

We will be coloring the feathers with the wrinkle free distressing.

Please bring your basic class kit

including

non stick craft mat

spray water bottle

black edger

I used broken china & shabby shutters distress ink,

feel free to bring yours if you would like.

Handmade Gifts 9/27/2014

Oh I had so much fun making this, I may just have to do a few more!

My daughter has already claimed this one, haha.

We will be decorating a chalkboard clipboard,

say that 3 times fast.

I will have the clipboards painted and cured with chalkboard paint.

You will have multiple choices in how you would like to decorate yours.

I used Ranger paint dabbers, stamps, chalk markers, washi tape and more.

Class will be limited to 12 (since that's how many clipboards I have)

and the cost will be $12 for the class.

Today's card was really hard to scan with all the white.

We will be using an Anna Griffin die and embossing folder.

I have brought multiple colors for the background so you will have a choice.

Easy supply list today

Poker (something to pop out the little pieces)

gold edger (or your color choice)

ball point glue pen

That's it!

Next Tuesday we will be celebrating September birthdays.
